This Privacy Policy explains how CryptoVank (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit this website (the “Site”). We have written it to be clear and readable for visitors from any country. If you have questions, contact us at contact@cryptovank.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Comments – your name, email address, website (optional) and the comment text. Your email address is not published.
- Newsletter – your email address, if you subscribe.
- Messages – any information you include when you email us.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs – like most websites, our hosting provider records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and the date and time of the request, for security and to keep the Site running.
- Cookies and similar technologies – small files stored by your browser. See “Cookies” below.
- Local storage – to show market prices instantly, the Site stores the most recent price and Fear & Greed data in your browser’s local storage. This data contains no personal information and never leaves your device.
Live market data requests
Live prices and the Fear & Greed Index are loaded directly by your browser from third-party services (CoinGecko, Binance and Alternative.me). As with any web request, these providers receive your IP address and browser information. Their own privacy policies apply to that data.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site.
- To display and moderate comments and prevent spam.
- To send the newsletter you asked for (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email).
- To respond to your messages and requests.
- To measure audience and, where advertising is shown, to serve and measure ads.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Advertising
The Site may display advertising served by Google AdSense and other advertising partners. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google by visiting Google Ads Settings.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
- You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or www.youronlinechoices.eu.
Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we ask for your consent before personalised advertising or non-essential cookies are used, and you can change your choice at any time.
Cookies
- Essential cookies – used by WordPress for things like remembering your details when you leave a comment (if you choose to) and for logged-in administrators.
- Analytics cookies – if enabled, used to understand how the Site is used in aggregate.
- Advertising cookies – set by advertising partners as described above.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some features may not work properly without them.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles may include embedded content (for example videos, posts or charts). Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other website directly, and that website may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it.
Comments and spam protection
Comments may be checked by an automated spam-detection service. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.
How long we keep data
- Comments: until deleted by you (on request) or by us.
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Emails: as long as needed to handle your request, and then for a reasonable period for record-keeping.
- Server logs: for a limited period set by our hosting provider, typically no longer than needed for security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, Brazil’s LGPD or similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also request an export or erasure of the data we hold about you from comments. To exercise these rights, email contact@cryptovank.com with the subject “Privacy”. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
International transfers
Our hosting provider and the third-party services described above may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, such transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections, to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
